Common questions
Which carriers support room of choice?
4 carriers publish a code for room of choice. Freight carried to a room the consignee nominates rather than left at the entrance.
Is there a standard room of choice code across carriers?
No. Each carrier defines its own code, so the same service is spelled differently at every carrier you integrate with — AIT Worldwide Logistics uses RC5, Banyan Technology uses ROCH, CEVA Logistics uses ROC, Saia LTL Freight uses RoomOfChoice. A code is only meaningful together with the carrier it belongs to.
Need this programmatically? /api/accessorials/map?service=room-of-choice returns the same data as JSON on every plan.
