CEVA tracking - FAQ

What is a CEVA house bill (HAWB) number?

The house bill of lading number is the number CEVA Logistics assigns to your shipment when it is booked, for example MX1211687. It is on your CEVA booking confirmation, the bill of lading and CEVA's shipment emails, and it is the number CEVA's tracking system looks shipments up by.

Can I track a CEVA shipment with a PO or reference number?

Not on this page. CEVA's tracking service looks shipments up by house bill number only, so use the HAWB from your booking confirmation or bill of lading. If you only have a PO or order number, the shipper or CEVA customer service can give you the HAWB.

Why is my CEVA tracking number not found?

Check that you entered the house bill number rather than a PO or pickup number, and that there are no typos. A shipment booked only minutes ago may not be in CEVA's system yet; try again a little later.

What does "Delivery window offered to customer" mean?

CEVA has reached out to the recipient with a proposed delivery window. Once the recipient accepts, the next event is "Delivery window confirmed with customer", and the shipment is delivered in that window.

What are terminal codes like PHL or H01 in the history?

They are the CEVA locations that handled the freight. CEVA identifies its terminals with airport-style three-letter codes such as PHL or BWI, shown next to the terminal name. Codes such as H01 are intermediate CEVA locations, usually hubs, that the freight passed through between the origin and destination terminals.

Does CEVA tracking show the whole trip?

Yes. Every milestone CEVA records is listed, newest first: booking, pickup, each terminal check-in and check-out, delivery appointment steps, out for delivery and delivery. The progress percentage comes from CEVA's latest milestone.

What time zone are CEVA tracking times in?

Each event is shown in the local time of the CEVA location that recorded it, so a pickup in Pennsylvania and a delivery in California are each in their own local time.

Is this CEVA tracking tool free?

Yes. Tracking is free and needs no account or sign-up. Names of people who signed for or handled the freight, notes and reference numbers are not shown.
