Echo Global Logistics tracking - FAQ
What is an Echo shipment ID?
It is the number Echo Global Logistics gives each shipment it books, an 8-digit number such as the one on your Echo booking confirmation and in Echo's shipment emails. It is the most direct way to track an Echo shipment.
Can I track an Echo shipment with a bill of lading number?
Yes. Choose "Bill of Lading number" and enter the BOL number on your paperwork. If one BOL matches several Echo shipments, each one is shown.
Why is my Echo shipment not found?
Check the number and the reference type first: an Echo shipment ID is digits only. A shipment booked moments ago may not be available yet, so try again a little later.
Who actually moves an Echo shipment?
Echo Global Logistics arranges the shipment and a carrier hauls it. Once a carrier is assigned, its name appears on the result, along with the mode (LTL, truckload or partial).
What does "Appointment required" mean?
The consignee needs a scheduled delivery. The next update is usually "Delivery appointment set", and the freight is delivered in that appointment window.
Does Echo tracking show the whole trip?
Yes. Every status update Echo receives is listed, newest first, with the city and state where it happened, from scheduling the pickup through loading, transit and delivery.
What do the requested and estimated delivery dates mean?
The requested delivery date is the one asked for when the shipment was booked. The estimated delivery date is Echo's current estimate and can change as the shipment moves.
Is this Echo tracking tool free?
Yes. Tracking is free and needs no account or sign-up. Free-text notes, customer and reference numbers are not shown.
