Pilot Freight Services tracking - FAQ

How do I track a Pilot Freight Services shipment?

Enter the Pilot PRO number (also called the housebill or tracking number) and select Track. The page shows the status, the route, the estimated delivery, any home-delivery appointment and every scan.

Is Pilot Freight Services part of Maersk?

Yes. Pilot Freight Services is owned by Maersk and also appears as Maersk Delivers. Shipments booked with Pilot are tracked here by their Pilot PRO number.

What is a Pilot PRO or housebill number?

It is the tracking number Pilot assigns to each shipment, on the booking confirmation, the shipping label and the delivery receipt. Pilot calls it the PRO, housebill or tracking number; they are the same number.

Why is my Pilot shipment not found?

Check the number for typos. Pilot returns tracking only for shipments on the account this tool uses, so a shipment booked under a different Pilot account may not be found here; use Pilot's own tracking for those.

What does "Appointment scheduled" mean?

For home delivery, Pilot calls or texts the consignee to book a delivery window. Once it is booked, the window is shown on this page until the freight is delivered.

What are threshold and room of choice delivery?

They are Pilot's home-delivery service levels. Threshold delivery brings the freight to the first dry area inside the door; room of choice carries it to the room the consignee picks. The service is shown on the tracking result.

What time zone are Pilot tracking times in?

Times are shown exactly as Pilot records them, with their UTC offset (for example UTC-4 for Eastern daylight time). Pilot often records scans in Eastern time even when the freight is elsewhere, so a scan in California can show UTC-4.

Is this Pilot tracking tool free?

Yes. Tracking is free and needs no account or sign-up. Names, addresses, phone numbers, what is in the shipment and the name of the person who signed for it are not shown.
